Toastmaster Bread Maker

A Toastmaster Bread Maker is another option when it comes to the subject of picking What Bread Maker? These seem to sell quite well, but the quality of a bread maker is not in how they sell; it’s how they perform. I have compiled a list of reviews below of the Toastmaster Bread Maker:

•    My husband chose this bread maker as a gift from his employer several years ago. I have only used it two days, but already have two main complaints about it. The first is that it’s a vertical machine, and I like the top of the bread to be like that found in grocery stores. The second is that on the basic medium cycle the bread started to burn with 32 minutes left on the timer. I can’t imagine what the bread would have been like had I have left it for those extra few minutes. I guess it really is a Toastmaster Bread Maker!

•    I like the way the recipe book explains everything clearly, with a lot of information. Reading through it several times often helps to get the information clearly in your head. I have not used any cycles except basic medium and French. We only use the 1 and 1.5 pound setting because when I made French bread on the 2 pound setting the bread wasn’t dense, as it should have been. Upon making the second loaf on the 1.5 pound setting the bread came out exactly as it should; firm and dense. The machine is quite noisy when it’s mixing, but if you don’t set it whilst you are asleep then you shouldn’t have any problems. The inner pan is easy to clean, but it can’t be immersed in water or put through the dishwasher. The bread itself is easy to remove from the pan, which makes it helpful when it’s hot!

•    I like this machine, but found that during the mixing process I would have to open the lid to scrape away any flour that is on the corners of the pot, as it builds up and doesn’t go away. I guess this is a flaw in the design, because a bread maker should be automatic! However, I would rather scrape the flour away than bite into a lump of it in my fresh bread!

•    The bread maker is an ok machine. It does what it meant to, although not always the best quality. The bread it makes seems to be quite good, but if you have to purchase a bread maker I wouldn’t consider the Toastmaster Bread Maker. You are better off looking at a Panasonic Bread Maker or something else.

•    I got this machine two months ago, and it died a horrible death after clunking loudly for a week. A certified repairer looked at it over a month, said they fixed it so I took it home the same day, to test it out. After making pizza dough it died, and I was FURIOUS. I shipped it back to the company, and got prompt service from them. They sent a new one out within 10 days, and I was happy. That was until the machine started making the same noises as the old one! To be fair, the machine was working 5 – 7 times a week, but the well built bread makers that I have used before have worked like that for well over 6 years. Don’t buy this machine unless you want to use it every so often! Instead, look at getting a Bread Maker Panasonic.
